There Will Be Blood

Yes, there was suffering. Excellent morning for a roll. Sean (Isaak's hired gun), Panozz, AT, VJ, Cracker, Me and Dustin rolled an extended version of the Mod today. We detoured to Rough Hollow and thru the Hills, then back to the Mod route.

A lot of different goals today. Panozz was trying to stay under his power threshold. This was good. I was supposed to have fun, AT wanted some miles, Dustin was out for a spin (which was good), and Sean was just cranking at whatever pace the leader was showing. Until he became the leader. And by this time, he was out of my line of sight, so I don't know what happened the last 3-4 miles.

Rough Hollow was awesome. great roads and light traffic. Headwind on 620 was a drag in every sense of the word. Payback came on 360. Always great to finish with a tailie. Can't say I enjoyed the last climb, but the rest of the ride was excellent. Suffering was had by all but Dustin, Sean and Panozz, who were net dealers. The rest of us took a beating that lived up to the pre-ride billing.

Let's hope the weather holds tomorrow!

Boys, glad you had a good ride. I woke up at 7:06 a.m. and immediately rolled over for another hour. Hibernation. Did roll solo down to veloway. malo

Glad to see Rough Hollow in the picture. Some great hills close to the house for some late afternoon rides....Fitz

Enjoyed the ride, though painful. Nice detour through Lakeway.

Rough Hollow was great. I prefer that detour plus the mod aussie better than the full aussie. Both are appr. 50 miles. Panozzo.

Loved Rough Hollow. Lakeway Blvd had one more hill than I remembered. All-in, a sweet bolt-on.
